About Us

Stoneforge Tavern & Publick House, built in 1998 by William and Patricia Roland in Raynham, Massachusetts, is named in part for the first working iron forge in America which was located in Raynham.  The Raynham location was built with a single purpose in mind; a guest can come to the same location two different times and get two different dining experiences in the Tavern, or Publick House. The Tavern was built to replicate the taverns of old and the warm hospitality that they exuded.  The cuisine is based on mainstream New England fare with world influences.  The decor boasts vaulted beamed ceilings with wagon wheel chandeliers and distressed wood paneling.  The mahogany bar is over eighty feet long with a fifteen-foot back bar displaying some of the finest liquor selections on the south shore of Boston.  The Tavern’s seasonal courtyard patio and bar provide an active dining and nightlife scene, weather permitting. The Publick House is “smart casual” featuring signature beef, seafood, and saute dishes with an extensive beer, wine, and cocktail menu.  The Publick House has entertainment every Friday evening from Labor Day to Memorial Day for dining pleasure and experience. The Publick House offers a quaint atmosphere to host your small social gatherings or private corporate events. The restaurants features a bar with a cozy lounge area, a semi-private area, and a spacious section of our dining room that overlooks the courtyard. We invite you to plan your next event with Stoneforge!

Stoneforge built and opened the Stoneforge Grill in Easton, Massachusetts in February of 2006.  The Grill offers classic New England cuisine prepared with sophisticated global influences.  The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, with light oak paneling and high wood ceilings anchored by a massive “S” shaped bar that overlooks our seasonal patio.  The Grill bar area seats 60 guests comfortably and our accordion windows make the patio part of the atmosphere.  The Stoneforge Grill dining room offers many six and four-person booths to accommodate business or family meetings and get-togethers plus we offer a private “Stonehill” room that seats 30. So whatever type of dining or cocktail experience you are looking for, Stoneforge can accommodate your desires!
